Goku's Unusual Journey - DragonBall Z
We all know how much to heart Goku has the planet earth and the people living it, so I would not actually call it an unusual journey his sacrifice to save the planet , but anyway thats how the episodes is called and you can read bellow why.
Goku and Piccolo both realize that the only way to defeat Raditz is with Piccolo's special technique, bean canon fire. Goku then blocks Raditz from behind with his wrips so Raditz can't move while Piccolo is preparing him for the bean canon fire to destroy Raditz. They are both aware that the bean canon fire is going to kill them both but Goku has decided to sacrify his life to save the planet.
While Raditz is on the ground from the powerful bean canon fire asks Goku (Kakarot) why did he do that. It's then when Piccolo makes a mistake and reveals the secret about the 7 dragon balls and the Dragons power to fullfill a wish. While Piccolo is revealing this secret to Raditz to assure him that Goku will be back to life thanks to the dragon balls Raditz's friends hear the discussion and they will be heading to Planet Earth to collect the dragon balls and make a wish, which is not going to be to bring Raditz back to life, but instead to become immortal.
